Inter Thrash Udinese, Roma Win in Turin to Share Serie A Summit

· 2 min read

Serie A delivered a dramatic day of action on September 14, with eight goals flying in at San Siro and the title picture sharpening considerably at both the top and bottom of the table.

Internazionale put on a commanding attacking display in Milano, defeating Udinese 5–3 at San Siro in a contest that never offered a dull moment. Inter's victory moved them level at the summit, continuing their early-season momentum in emphatic fashion.

AS Roma made the trip to Torino and came away with a clean sheet and all three points, winning 2–0 at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. The result keeps Roma right alongside Inter at the top of the table, and manager and players alike will be encouraged by the defensive discipline shown against a Torino side that will be disappointed not to have troubled the scoreboard.

In the day's opener, Como secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Parma at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia, showing the resilience that has become a hallmark of their return to the top flight. The win is a vital one for Como as they look to establish themselves in Serie A.

With Inter and Roma now sharing top spot after this round of fixtures, the race for the Scudetto already has the feel of a genuine two-horse contest — though plenty of Serie A will remind everyone that it is still very early days.
